The Move II: This time its better

March 29, 1984.  The Baltimore Colts close their facility and move to Indianapolis.  Nov. 6, 1995.  The Cleveland Browns announce they will close at the end of the season and move to Baltimore.  Aug. 15, 2009.  Sully’s Sports Bar closes with no warning leaving the GCBB without a home.

Never fear Browns Backers!  Just like the Browns found a home in Cleveland again, the GCBB have found a new home in Cincinnati.  I give you Slatt’s Pub.  4858 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio  45242 (513-791-2223).

Your board of directors took a long hard look at 6 places, and Slatt’s came away very impressive in their presentation and desire to be the new home of the GCBB.  It is owned by the Slattery family, 10 kids from Cleveland that migrated (via Miami of Ohio) to Cincinnati, and have established a little bit of Cleveland right in our back yard.

Our new home features 10 (yes ten) plasma TV’s in an exclusive area that will hold 116 of your favorite fans.  They will also have free WiFi for those of you who have to work during half time.  Slatt’s has also offered up a live stream video webcam, linked to our web site so that Browns Backers around the world can see what a first rate place we have chosen live.

I know, I know, get to the important stuff.  I introduce “The Kosar”.  A 19 OZ beer served in your very own GCBB mug.  Your buy the mug (available to members only) and fill it for 1.25.  How about our own “Dawg Food” Menu.  Every week various selected appetizers will be half price and there will be special prices on entrees (again, for members only).  Can you say Muni Lot Meatballs?

Lastly, they have offered up the possibility of giving away tickets to a Browns game in Cleveland, and tickets to the Browns v Bengals game here in Cincinnati.  All this and free advertising for the club has made this selection a no brainer.  I urge each and every one of you to come on down and check this place out.  You will not be disappointed!!

Here we go Brownies, here we go!
